    Question Graduation Etiquette ????

My son will graduate college in Dec. he is still in HS. Is it ok for me to send announcements out for this even though he hasn't graduated HS yet? Also is it ok to then send HS announcements out then in June?

    Thoughts???

    Thanks!

Are you talking about one son or two sons? I don't know how someone can be graduating from college and still in HS.

As far as I know it seems anything goes now a days so you can do whatever you want to do. LOL If you can get a wedding announcement from a couple who has lived together for 2 years and has waited for the baby to arrive, a graduation announcement at the wrong time is not much to be concerned about. Just saying.

Edited to say that happened to me and not you.

I think yes. He should be acknowledged for both of his accomplishments. He can't help it he is a smart kid who got a college degree before HS graduation. Congrats to you and him. It really is something to be proud of.

Are you planning a party for him? If so I would wait until the summer one and have one big party with both accomplishments. Make sure it is noted then what he accomplished though. You should be very proud of him though. What did he take as far as college courses, enough that he doesn't have to go on for many more years, I hope.

I would say if your having a party for the college graduation then I would send the announcements now. If no part, I would say it's up to you and your son what you would like to do.

I was going to throw a party in June...I figured most of his friends are still in HS(seniors) , so I figured waiting and throwing 1 big one was best..

WOW ! That is impressive ! I don't think this comes up often enough to be addressed by Emily Post. He has done something to be proud of, and you should be proud of him as well. I think it should be shouted from the rooftops ! Congrats !
