Every one took it seriously, I think because of the way the weather men were talking. There are so many without anything left. Houses and neighborhoods were flattened.
Usually tornadoes miss downtown areas but this time it got the courthouse in one city and it got several hospitals. They said it could be several weeks before everyone gets powerback. My daughter has to get the power company out to her house before the power is turned back on because her power box is hanging in the air.

One of the weathermen in our city in KS called his father and told him to go home from work. The storm was headed to his office.

I'm sorry about your daughters house but glad ya'll are all ok. Those were some really devastating storms.

Here in KS we haven't had any tornado warnings which is creepy since we get the most with OK and TX. Our good luck may be running out. I am thinking of investing in some helmets to protect the head.

The year I got married '91 we had a big one come through to the East of us and did a lot of damage to a small town with some deaths. During my ceremony I saw storm clouds and rain come up and thought that is all I need is for the sirens to go off right now. I had already broken my ankle but bad luck did not include a tornado during the ceremony---thank God.

I am in OK. And I pray to the good Lord that we will be fine all through tornado season.
I also plan on looking in to a hidey-hole. They are so expensive though, it may have to be a project with next years tax returns. As for now, I am going to ask the neighbors again up the road if we are welcome to theirs.

Weather just really seems to be getting more crazy, and fierce. Everywhere.
