    Does your dog watch tv?

I have heard of dogs that watch tv but I've never seen one until my son's dog. It is so funny to watch her as she watches tv. She used to get out of the chair and go looking for the dogs when they went off the screen but has learned they aren't there. Anything that has an unusual sound will get her attention.

They do not sit in front of the Television and watch... but if my husband happens to be watching something on his tablet (which is actually a color nook that he has hacked and turned in to a tablet similar to the ipad) then my smallest one will watch with him. It scares him but he still can't take his eyes off of it... they do however bark their heads off if they hear a doorbell or other dogs coming from the TV.

Had a cat and a hamster that watched TV. But not the dog. His attention span was WAY too short.
The hamster would be mesmorized by music videos. The cat would watch shows with us, (he preferred the commercials over actually shows though)

My last dog would go to the speaker on the tv to look for any puppies or kittens that were crying on the tv. Otherwise she ignored it totally - her bed was actually next to the tv so she couldn't really see it from her bed.

My dog will look at the tv if there is something (sound) that catches his attention. Maybe watch for a few minutes. He will watch America's funniest videos with us when it is animal videos. I have played horse videos on the computer for him to sit and watch. He is obsessed with horses. I think he would sit and watch them all day if I kept playing them for him.He definetly understands what he is seeing on the screen.

My mini doxie does the same thing. It's so cute when she does it. Don't you just love dachshunds? I would love to have another one but the hubs says no for now.

All of my dogs have! My current dog bree will throw a fit if we are about to
leave and animal planet isn't on! Seriously. She'll tear the house up when we
forget, but doesn't do a thing if we leave it on for her! Try another channel
and see? Not worth the cleaning to find out! Lol
