my exciting purchases at the Salvation Army

On Wed our Salvation Army puts a lot of things half off. We went yesterday and I found so many things! LOL what fun. They had bath crystals that had come from one of the exclusive stores here with the $6 sticker still on it for $.99. I bought 4 of those. They also had wooden bird houses for children over 8 to make requiring only a hammer. I bought 2 of those for my grandson. I found 3 pairs of blue jeans that looked practically new for my granddaughter. They were half off so were $2. One pair had all the embroidery and glittery stuff on them she loves.
They had metal thermal cups still in their boxes with no advertising insignia on them for $.99. Oh and I got a heart shaped cake pan for $.99. I haven't made a cake in years but I will have to now. We both had fun. My son laughs at my purchases. Do any of you shop the thrift stores?

You did great! I love shopping at thrift stores. We go to one that has a huge selection. My daughter has been able to get new designer clothes with the tags still atttached. I think she has a better selection because she wears a small size. I have a harder time finding clothes for myself. I have found jeans and suits for my DH and son. I get a little rush for getting something for such a good price.

Awesome.....We have a local consignment store that I go into quite often but its small. I don't get into the big name thrift stores often, but I love to go! I think the closest one is about a 1/2 hour drive for me.

I just LOVE to shop at our little local thrift store! You can get a paper grocery bag full of clothes for only $8. Whenever my family says they like what I'm wearing and ask where I got it, I just give them a little smile and they know! I don't even shop for clothes in a regular store anymore, except for socks and underwear, of course.

I got a really nice lined overcoat for my husband, name brand with tags for $7.99. I was on vacation and happened upon a Salvation Army in some strange town. I got it in early July and my debit transaction still hasn't posted. I have no idea what the town was, just a faceless gas stop on a backwoods two lane road. I guess I got it for free.

Thrift stores are my favorites. Last month I got another brand new baking stone for 2$. And almost all of my collctibles are from thrift stores. I have a handmade copper chocolate pot from spain, and tons of hand blwn mexican bubble glass. My sister has a fortune in jewelry.
