I have a suggestion: TAKE ME TAKE ME. Seriously though, some hotels offer shuttles to and from disney, mostly those that are within a 10 mile vicinity of disney, however if you plan to go first thing in the morning and stay until it closes I would rent a cheap car, you can find great deals on priceline and hotwire ((I am not affiliated with them so I hope that this isnt against the rules ))
Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching

We went several years ago. We did not stay in a Disney hotel, but our hotel did have a shuttle bus to and from Disney. We did not use it since we had actually driven the entire way and had our own car. We stayed at a hotel called Diplomat Inn and there was everything we needed in walking distance from the hotel. For us, we saved a lot of money by going through a travel agent to book our hotel. Have lots of fun!

I'm not sure how young your kids are but if they are young, you might want to take snacks. We went when our boys were younger and we took snacks with us. It saved us a bundle taking our own. My kids were always wanting to nibble on something and of course the park food/snacks are expensive. I also went to the dollar store or dollar tree (can't remember) and got those cheap $1 rain ponchos. Those came in handy because it rained while we were there and their ponchos are somewhere around $7-$10 each.

DO NOT DO THAT!!!!! They have been cracking down on vendors selling tickets that are not legit or are Florida resident passes. They do NOT have a problem taking the tickets from you and pointing you back to a ticket window for you to go purchase legit tickets. Get them at the gate. Rent a car and stay at one of our zillion hotels. There are lots on 192 which by the way is in Kissimmee not Orlando. International Drive (in Orlando) area has tons of hotels also. There is a lot more to do in O-town than just Disney - we do have Sea World and Universal to mention a few places. DO NOT buy shirts and stuff at Disney go to I-Drive (International Drive) and hit the outlet stores you will save a ton of money.

Plan on getting hot and sweaty. We are having one of the worst summers I can remember and I have lived here all my life. It does usually rain in the afternoon. NOTE - do NOT leave when it rains. Stay at the park since most of the visitors will leave when it rains which means shorter lines. Also if you don't really care about the parades the lines get shorter then also.

Plan your trip so that you go into some of the cooler places alternating with the standing in line ones. It is lots of fun but be so careful not to get dehydrated. Be sure to take bottles to refill with water. Take snacks like someone else said. Don't eat a huge meal, thought it may be tempting. It just makes you hotter.
Do stay outside of the park. It is cheaper and more convenient. The buses inside the park don't always run on time meaning being outside the park is better. Rent a car if you don't have your own but you will have to pay for parking everyday. In all honesty don't plan to go to Disney everyday. You will be too exhausted as will the children. Plan for days of just hanging out, maybe alternating days and yes there is lots to do there besides just the big parks. Have fun!!

I am not sure if you are willing to do this. When our children were younger DH & I used to take them to Disney quite often. We would go though those time share promos, where they let you stay in a hotel for 4-5 days for $99 (you can negotiate longer - I know because we did this all the time). I would usually stay in one of the time shares for the same price they would charge you for one of the other hotels (they usually offer the Holiday Inn & 2 others). If you insist on this, they will usually say yes.
We would then go to some presentations and get free attraction tickets, restaurant GC's, and sometimes even cash. The thing is, you have to be prepared to waste about 1.5 hours, and have no problems telling them no.

Also, bring those little juice packets. Freeze most of them while refrigerating the rest. Pack them in those soft, insulated lunch boxes & put the boxes in the a couple of backpacks. The frozen drinks will keep the others cold, and as they melt, if you drink them, it will be just like having slushies. This will save you oodles & oodles.

    Have a great trip.
