I could care less if it's a Republican or a Democrat. Parties winning mean nothing to me. It's all about the man or woman who is best for the job. If more people voted that way instead of voting by party, we'd be better off.

IMO this will be a big message to Obama. If he is smart he will change. No healthcare bill this year. No one can understand the 2 thousand plus pages anyway.

I never vote along party lines. I vote for the person that I think can do the best job. Yesterday, I voted for two republicans and two democrats for our Village Council and I am pleased to say that all four of them won.

Wow...and I woke up this morning to hear that there were two significant Democrat wins.
However, I agree with everyone else when they say they prefer looking at the individual and not their party.

My friend, who just so happens to be gay, brought up a good point this morning.
If all these people are wanting to protect 'traditional marriage', what's next a ban on divorce?
Just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it wrong. You can not help who you fall inlove with, and IMO LOVE, true love is what makes a marriage, not body parts if you know what i mean.
Edited since Justice added more to her post; OUR America? Are you serious? America truly belongs to the NATIVE Americans, if you think about it we're all immigrants to this country. Unless you're 100% native american I don't think you have the right to say we need to get this country back to being "ours". Furthermore, how would you appreciate a bunch of people standing around telling you that you can't live your life the way you see fit? That you can't love who you love, or perhaps you can't worship the God that you worship? It's absolutely ignorant. This is not 1910, it's 2009, get with the times. Everyone is unique and EVERYONE has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of HAPPINESS....which is what being able to marry whomever you choose is...the pursuit of happiness. Who are any of us to deny that?
