I went into walmart yesterday and looked at the display. You do have to buy a phone, anywhere from 30-$80 (depending on how fancy you want it). Then, you buy the card, either the $30 one, or the $45 one. It is ONLY for 30 days, regardless if you use all those 1,000 minutes or not(on the 30 plan). I know some people who are going to do it because their is NO contract, so if you don't have the money one month, then no problem, get it the next month and so on....

you have to buy phones, but I think you have to do that anywhere. I thought about the one through walmart but it says it's not supported in my area. Oh well.

Just a note on the Boost service. If you have a Nextel/Sprint phone you would be able to use the Boost service but you would have to purchase a new Sim card. We just switched our Nextel/Sprint phones to Boost - we did purchase new phones since most of ours were so old and about 1/2 of them barely worked. I love the unlimited part - now I can text with the rest of humanity.
