how to clean computor screen?

I read somewhere that it is bad to use window cleaner on your computor screen. I had heard mouthwash is good. I used it, and now my screen is smeared up. Is it ok to use window cleaner???

It depends on what kind of screen you have. I would get something specifically made for it.

If it's a CRT then glass cleaner, vinegar & water, multi-purpose cleaner, etc are fine but if it's an LCD, don't use anything wet on it. Just gently wipe it with a clean dry cloth. I use ones that are made for LCD screens but if I run out I use one made for cleaning glasses. Don't press hard on it as this can cause pixels to burn out. If there is something sticky on it, you can dampen the cloth in vinegar/water to get it off but I wouldn't do that very often. Also don't use anything that has ammonia on a LCD screen.
