    E-Bay question

Why do people pay about as much for a GC on E-Bay as they are worth in dollars? I see many are bid at about the same amount the GC sells for. Doesn't make sense to me.

People can earn ebay bucks to use and when they pay for their auction win then it takes off the amount earned from them. Depending on how much you buy over a 3 month period this can amount to a significant sum.

Where I would never pay equal amounts for a gift card, that just seems silly, I do tend to pay a little bit more than I normally would for certain items because I go through mypoints and get points as well as getting the eBay cash back.

Still some of the time people pay OVER the amount the cards or coupons are worth. So in the long run it may only even out.......

and you take a chance on the giftcard being legit (having the balance it is supposed to have on it)..I would not trust to buy them online like that...

I know people that do all of their shopping online and for them it is easier and cheaper then having to go to all of these places to buy gift cards. You have to figure some people don't leave the house.

I was thinking maybe they are earning Paypal from surveys or something and using it to pay for the gift certificates to use in the actual stores...

Why not just use paypal or go to the GC site and buy it off there? Are some people not wanting their name attached to the GC for some reason?
