Does anyone here know anything about Louis Vuitton purses?
This person who gave it to my daughter is a purse freak, and her parents have always bought her nothing but the best. This is just something she used very little and thought my daughter might like to have. It's not a style my daughter wants to carry. She has given my daughter several bags, that my daughter uses and loves. I asked her if she'd like to have the bag back since my daughter doesn't want to use it, and she said no, to see if it would sell on ebay or something and split the money between my kids for Christmas gifts or something.
From what I have found online, this particular bag may be worth well over $1000. It is one of the Cherry Blossom bags, that apparently was discontinued in 2003.
From what I can find online, the zipper pulls have the correct markings, there are several markings inside and other places on the bag that lead me to believe it's not a fake.
Is there anything else I need to check?

How old is your daughter? I would be hesitant to sell something worth over a $1000 until I checked first with the parents of the person who gave your daughter the purse.

Check the serial number online. If it is a fake, you will have hits to the replica websites. Also, do you have a Luis Vuitton distributor at your local mall? They can tell you at a glance if it is real or fake. Pics would be nice, do you have any? Lol, you know all of us here would love to give you an opinion.
There are so many fakes out there with all the purse parties going on. I see them at Goodwill all the time. They still sell them there for $25 even though they are fake, or at least my Goodwill does.

The person who gave it to my daughter is 30 years old. She said the bag was a gift from her parents a few years ago. I'm sure her parents don't care what happens with the bag, as it was a gift to their adult daughter. My daughter is also an adult, and a broke college student. She'd prefer to sell the bag if it's worth that much than carry it and risk getting it stolen from her.
Quaker Parrots, I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. I have some paperwork to finish tonight and probably won't have time to get that done tonight.

I would love to see a pic of it. I have seen some LV that are so easily to tell they are fakes and some that aren't so easy to tell. I would imagine if this girls family seem like the type to have a little money, then I would assume it is real. Did you ask them? I wish you lived closer I have a friend that deals in LV and would tell you immediately if it was a throw off. I hope it is real.

My neighbor is a LV FREAK/ADDICT but most of hers are really really good quality fakes. I will ask her what to look for to make sure its a real LV. I am sure she knows. LOL

My friend gave me a fake Cherry Blossom and it was remarkable what a great fake it was. I would have her check it out with a distributer. It has been a long time since I looked up online how to spot a fake, but I think that even serial numbers are not a sure fire way to determine.
