We are not getting it. We usually get one every year, but with all the hoop-la and side effects, I do not think it is worth it, IMHO

Absolutely not. My doctor highly recommends that I get it due to my diabetes(sp) but I refuse (Edited to add... he also says he is aware of the risks and so he won't force me to take it. I guess it depends on the Dr, but it's safety is a matter of opinion on their part and NOT fact). They did this w/ the swine flu in the 50s and a lot of ppl died on that very little tested vaccination (because of adverse affects of the vaccine, not the flu)... so no, it won't happen. I haven't had even a cold in many many years and haven't had the flu since new years eve of 1999 (I remember cause I couldn't drink my champagne). So, I think I'll be ok. And if I'm not, I'm a firm believer in God taking you when he's ready, no matter what you do.

My kids will be getting it when they go for their well care visit. As for me, I have an appointment on the 14th for a flu shot, but my doctor said they aren't giving just anyone the swine shot so I am not sure about that. I am in the food industry so I am going to push for it.
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

The doctors at my kids clinic are saying not to get it because of all the risks and the fact that there hasn't been enough testing done yet. So my kids aren't getting it.

I'm in healthcare and we are encouraged to get the regular flu shot as well as the H1N1 and offered both for free, but I declined both. I got the flu shot about 3 years ago for the 1st time and was sicker than a dog for several days afterwards. I have a very strong immune system. Probably only been on antibiotics 2-3 times in my life (and I think that was for dental reasons). I think if you have a weak immune system or chronic medical issues than you should definately get it.
