Paris just broke my heart. Even the clips on the news are making me tear up.

He will be missed by a lot of people, especially his family.(who I think have come together even more because of this).
My friend In Ca. just told me she got to go and it was just an experience of a lifetime...
Something she will never forget!

Michael

It was a classy, touching tribute to a music legend. I am sure Michael was watching and was proud of Paris. I cried my eyes out. Each time I see a news clip showing Paris, I cry again.

well, I guess from everyones comments I am in the minority, but there are so many hungry and homeless people right now, I think that something to honor a dead a person like that is a little much. A 25k gold coffin? How many mouths would that feed?

What you say is so true. But out of fairness. He gave away alot and I mean alot of his money to help feed, cloth, house, give medical treatmentm, buried strangers, etc. If he or his family decided to give him a 24K Gold casket then so be it. Its no ones business. Taxpayers aren't paying for it. I know when my brother died no one questioned what he was buried in, thank God. I find it not only tacky but truly very hurtful to the loved ones left behind.

with all that he went through with the abuse from his father, the sexual charges i think he deserved the send off he got, i truly believe that the accusations of sexual misconduct is what eventually killed him. he had his heart broke and thats when he really started acting wierd.

Tara, you are right. I believe the fact that people accused him broke his spirit. Did anyone see on Larry King when Michael first died, Uri Geller phoned in? Uri Geller is a long-time friend of Michaels. When the child molestation charges first appeared, Uri Geller had Michael under hypnosis (for something Michael wanted to stop eating) Uri Geller said he asked MJ if he ever touched a child inappropriately and MJ said he could never do such a thing. Uri asked why he paid the woman off and MJ said he had to make it all stop. I spoke to a friend who has witnessed people under hypnosis and she said you cannot falsify answers. Enuf said.

*just a side note, not saying he did or didn't, just a note*

What MJ felt was appropriate and/or inappropriate may not be the 'general consensus' or the 'majority's opinion'....so under hypnosis, when asked if he did anything 'inappropriate', he may honestly say no he didn't, but others may feel or see it otherwise.

Now if the question was asked specifically listing/using certain body parts and/or certain activities .....then you'd get a more specific 'true' answer as to what went on. Other than that, it's a judgment call of what one deems 'appropriate'. KWIM

Just as some parents think it's okay to serve alcohol to teens if they are home and others don't.

MJ had already paid for the coffin. So it wasn't his family that picked it out it is what MJ wanted. It is the same one James Brown had. I watched the memorial and cried like a baby when Paris spoke at end.

I thought it was done in very good taste. As far as what his coffin cost has nothing to do with anything else. Shana1 how many homeless are you housing? He did give a lot and had every right to spend his money on what he wanted. As a matter of fact even if he never gave a penny he still had every right to have the coffin he wanted. That would be like me saying you know what the money it is costing you to have your Internet on could feed a family so why not turn it off and use it to feed a family. Now that would be just crazy for someone to think you should do that. After all it is your money to do with how you see fit.
Sorry Shan1 this post was not for you. It was for cathych

His daughter had me and my husband tearing up. I really feel for his kids. They lost him to early.
