Lightbulb The Wall-A Tribute to our Fallen Soldiers

This weekend we had the traveling wall at one of our parks,it was an honor to be able to go and see the names of our heros and fallen soldiers.I have never been to the wall,or seen it in anyway before. We hear on tv about brothers and sisters, dads and moms, uncles and grandfathers dying to keep our way of life,to keep others safe, but untill I actually seen all the names, and some dog tags of the last 2 yrs,I really had no idea. As soon as I walked on the grounds my heart started weeping,it took all my power to hold my tears and sobs intact. So many have fallen, but their spirit still remains. I feel blessed to be able to come together with other americans who shared this moment of grief, and to feel the love that the americans show to keep our country proud.
If the traveling wall comes to you area, please take the time to go and see this,it is an experience youll never forget and hold within your heart.
To our soldiers then and now,YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

I saw this some years ago when it came to a near by town. It is truely amazing, you just stand there in silence and in awe. It is so unreal. I saw many soldiers, elderly people, old women who were touching the names of past lost husbands, people that were survivors in wheelchairs..... It is truely heart renching.

I agree. The feelings are hard to put into words. We were there about 9 AM,there were alot of people, but huge amounts were expected thru out the day. I took my camera to get a few pics,my husband was in the marines,it was a very hard thing for him to do.

We have a wall here at our court house that lists all the people that served from our area that lost their lives.
I have some pics of the one that is in a neighboring city. I have a great great uncle that is listed on that wall.
