hubby gets to come home after 9 months

Oh my gosh, has it been that long. He has been out of state working since last June. He got to come home either every weekend or every other. I have got sooo much house to clean tomorrow.
I do have to admit though, it's gonna be wierd, I mean for the last nine months all decisions have been basically mine for the household. I havn't had to answer to no-one, me and the kids can come and go as we please. And I need to make room for him in our room LOL.
Don't get me wrong, I am excited, but the other part of me isn't. We use to fight alot, and when he left, well, I guess since he was gone all the time, it was easy cause we just talked on the phone and he only came home every once in a while. I'ts like that one time my girlfriend asked me, "how are you and the hubby doing"? I said great, he's never home. I know that may be a bad attitude and I'm sorry. But I was a loner with my kids for about 5 years before I remarried and was so use to being in "control" and making all the decisions and coming and going as I pleased.
But the other part of me is so excited because I get to take care of him again, you know the wife thing, cooking and stuff. And also our son hasn't had a chance to really get to know/bond with him this past year. He really needs that, he's only 1 1/2, and every time his daddy came home to visit he would get excited and be happy, but then had to leave 2 days later and he really didn't understand.
Any way, just blowing smoke now. So, tomorrow will be a big day.

Congrats on hubby coming home. What you said doesn't sound bad. I know several people who have hubbys that work out of state most of the year and they all have a hard time during the time he's home. It take a bit to stop feeling like he's invading your space. And as soon as you get used to that you start getting mad at all the extra laundry, etc LOL Just take it a day at a time and enjoy getting reacquainted

as a Navy wife, I know exactly how you feel!! Mine has a deployment coming up, maybe as soon as May( they haven't given an exact date yet) BUT-- As much as I love my husband, I can't help but be a bit excited, sad, AND scared that he's going to leave, he's been home for 6 YEARS!! I was raised as a Navy brat also, so having him home ALL THE TIME drives me nuts!! We've been together 15 years and at first he was gone quite a bit. we got along great then, but since he's been here so long the smallest things pluck my nerves!, I need a hubby break! LOL oops, sorry to overrun your thread.

I would go nuts without DH!!
I can't explain it but just his touch makes everything seem better. And he would be completely mental, gone from me that long. It would drive him nuts not knowing what I'm doing LOL.
I could be with DH 24/7 and never get tired of him. Of course we've only been married, this year, for 15 years LOL.

no, he's in refrigeration, he has been in texas working on a kroger. Before that he was in missouri. Now they have a job here at a sams.
Well, he didn't get to leave texas untill around 5 today, it's a 7 hour drive, and then they have to go straight to the shop to empty out there work trailors, which is about an hour away, so I may not get to see him untill morning. I've been busy today. Our son shares the bedroom with us because of lack of space in our home (hope we get a bigger one soon), any way, it had a huge queen water bed in it. We didn't have room to even walk in there with my dresser, dh's dresser, the babys dresser and bed. SO, get this, I dumped out the water bed, threw it in the back yard and got a blow up twin size mattress and a big feather bed to throw on top. That's what I've been using since he's been gone. Worked fine for "me". So today I found an AWESOME deal on a pillow top full size mattress and boxsprings for $120 (the same exact one at the furniture was $500), so I got it, came home and rearranged the whole room and set it up. It is sooo nice and we still have plenty of room for everything to move around. I'm so excited for him to see it, cause he was telling me last weekend that he would love to just come home to a comfortable bed. Before he would usually have to sleep on the hide-a-bed in the living room. Now we can be together.
Pulled out some ribs from the freezer for tomorrow, gonna have a "manly dinner" LOL, taters and meat. Just cleaned the whole house and made it cosey and inviting for him to come home again.
Can't wait to see him in the morning.
