Migraines!!!!!!!!!!! Don't ya hate them!!!!
I've had migraines since I was 16. They don't hurt as bad as they used to. But I am one of those that get the vision disturbence. The squiggly lines and such. I've been cleaning house all day. I sit down to play on the computor . Bam a Migraine. So then I have to sit here until I can see well enough to see the computor screen. They are such a pain in the you know what.

Yes and pressure headaches if you have ever had one of those? Those are bad as well. You feel like your head could explode at any given moment. You almost wish it would just to relieve the pressure.

I had migraines from 1967-1989. Horrible, horrible horrible pain. The worst. I'd rather have a baby than a migraine. Anyhow, I had a total hysterectomy and I haven't had a migraine since the end of that first year. I hope you feel better!

Funny you say that... I always thought hormones had something to do with it, and a whole lot more !
Hey hon, try some Excedrin, dose a few times a day, for several days... worth a shot !

My younger brother had migraines when he was younger. I remember him lying on the couch and not wanting any lights to be on and the slightest noise would really bother him.

Have had a hysterictomy about 5 years ago. Mine can hit once a year. Or they can come in clusters and hit a lot. I couldn't believe it. About 2 hours after I posted this, I had another one. I don't think anything in particular brings them on. I think they just happen. I do keep Excerdin migraine on hand. Have used a lot of prescrips for them. But like I say, I can get lucky and go a year without one. But then they make up for lost time like tonight. I worked with a lady that started getting them in her 50's. She had the vision problem too.. She was so scared that something was seriously wrong. I told her not to worry. they are a real problem, but nothing serious. She went to the doc, and it was indeed migraines. They have hit me when I am driving down the road or at work. That is awful.

Years ago, I had to go to the er and be knocked out a time or two. But it's really weird now. My vision gets all missed up, and I get the headache, nausea, light and smell sensitivity, all the goodies. But the headache just isn't as severe anymore. It's just the dang ole spots in the eyes that irrate me. I know after about 15-20 minutes, I'll be able to see alright again

Hey lymi, could it be your neck ?? I have some 'bad' issues in my neck, from three prior car wrecks. (None were my fault... someone else hit me, all three times !) I didn't know any of this at the time, but, I knew 'something' was wrong. An MRI showed several 'possible' causes, all having to do with my neck.
I am not having surgery and just have to live with it... but let me tell ya, some days are HĖLL !!!

Ok, I hate to ask, but I'm gonna... could you be a candidate for a stroke ?? What you are describing, to me, does not sound like a typical migraine... I could be WAY off, but, you should be safe, not sorry.
Maybe something to think about... could be allergies too I guess, my Mom gets like that with allergies... but not the thing with the eyes, that sounds like stroke - my uncle went completely blind, about 8 months ago, from a stroke he didn't know he was having.
