Yes and no. The doc told me that if you have migraines you are prone to strokes. He wouldn't allow me to be on birth control in my younger years. But I've had them a long time and am still ok. When I do get a lot together, he calls them cluster migraines. It's happened many times before, and it should pass. Then, hopefully, I am free for awhile again. But it's cool that you asked, because he did tell me to watch out for that.
The vision thing just goes along with the migraines. Like I say, I've had them since I was 16. I pretty much know what to expect. It is called Auras.

Well... maybe take daily aspirin, 'just in case'. If you can that is ! I guess some people can't take it... but, I personally think everyone who can, should.

You are kinda right on both points. As far as a stroke, the doc told me years ago that I would be prone to strokes because of my migraines. He wouldn't let me have birth control pills because of it. But I do know what to expect since I've had them since I was 16. The vision problems are called "auras". That is always the first sign that I have a migraine coming on.
As far as the neck problems, I do. I have degenerative disc disease. I have had to have injections and such in my neck. It will effect my arms sometimes. My neck has hurt really bad for years. And the mri's do show narrowing and degeneration. I just don't want them doing anything to my neck until absolutly necessary. To easy to make a mistake there. It scares me.
But as far as the migraines, I've had them so long, they don't worry me. They are such a problem. Usually my vision returns to normal within 20-30 minutes. They are just kind of a fact of life for me. They don't scare me, they just make me mad. lol

I get them too. Been through all the tests and as far as we can figure mine are caused by stress.
Don't laugh but try the Head On stick for migraines. It really does make the pain a little better.
I get them really bad sometimes. First one came two weeks after DS was born. Have had them ever since. Sometimes I am down a couple of days with them.
