Janelle can you send me the link, just wondering if it is the same one I go to, I have found a bunch of stuff on this one site, but I have found a bunch of them too,
keoka310@hotmail.com
I also started in the 80's doing coupons and saving UPC, got alot of stuff for my son and money back then. I have just started couponing again in the last couple of months since I have been layoffed, and have been saving,
there is a ? I need to know I have a link back to 2006 on another site that CVS the secret things you can get that aren't in their paper it says after 48 hrs you go back to the store and get another free coupon for that product, then after another 48 hrs and so on, do they still do that I am learning

We recycle our aluminum and compost our paper, reuse glass jars and clear plastic containers are great for mini green houses. I too am a coupon whore, I don't go anywhere and I do mean anywhere without at least one of my coupon binders, you just never know, right? We will be growing all of our veggies this year and have just planted grape vines. We already grow pears, pecans, blueberries and figs. I can and freeze foods when I can and yes, I wash and reuse freezer bags as long as they were not used for meat. Being frugal has allowed us to spend money on things when we normally would not.

Now the extra bucks print on the bottom of your receipt as soon as you make the purchase.

I have always been thrifty. I rewash most of my ziplocks and freezer vacuum bags. I cut my lotion bottles so I can use every last drop. I add a little water to all liquid soaps so I can use every last drop. I try not to waste any food, I even use my Nana's leftovers because she always cooks too much and rarely will use leftovers. I use coupons to stock pile as sales rotate.
Now I recall someone on here a long time ago (cannot remember who) said that when their toothpaste gets low they boil the tube so they can get every last bit. This I won't do for a couple of reasons....I am not sure it makes sense financially by the time you factor in the cost of the energy to boil the toothpaste. My other reason is because I am not sure that when you heat the tube that it would not release harmful toxins into the toothpaste.
As far as getting every inch out of your trashbags, you'd be amazed how little trash you would have if you recycled and composted your waste, and its great for mother earth!
I will not reuse slobbered leftovers off my kiddos plates though...that goes way too far. I am careful to give them small portions to reduce waste, they can always ask for seconds.
My DH is always saying, "for once can't we pay full price for something?" The answer, " not just no, but hell no!"

Forgot to add...that I garden. I do my own canning and freezing , by September I am sick of it. It does save me tons on grocerys and Christmas too, so many people LOVE the homemade yummies for gifts. Plus the stuff tastes so much better!
I trade garden goodies with people who plant different stuff if we have too much.

I have always been a tightwad lol. Frugal does sound better.
Since I have found this site, I haven't bought a christmas present!! Two years now.
Thanks to Didonna and Teenap for all their postings, I win what will be gifts from us. If I can't win it or make it, It doesn't get given. DS is grown now and has everything he wants. Now with the Grandbaby I might have to break down and shop. But he won't be at the gimme stage for awhile.
I haven't bought deodorant, toothpaste, razors or really shampoo in a looong time. With all the samples and test products, I usually have a stock pile.
This site has been heaven!!!! I am soooooo Thankful for everyone on here.

Well....I am not as frugal as SOME people. I do watch the sales and use coupons and try to find as many bargains as I can but I don't do much else. I already have enough anxiety as it is...I don't need to worry about people tearing things up before trashing them and everything else!
