Has anyone used Smooth Away?

Is it like using sandpaper on your skin? That is what it looks like to me and it would hurt.

I never heard of it before but my family laughs at my sandpaper-like feet, maybe if I rub my feet on my legs I won't have to shave anymore?

I've seen the commercial and have seen them at Bed Bath and Beyond and have been wanting to try them but dont really want to waste my money if they dont really work...it doesnt really look like sand paper to me but a soft buff type thing...I just dont see how it could work myself.

Yep, it's just like sandpaper. I've used it once before and didn't like it.
Insanity is hereditary; you get it from your kids.

Well I bought the Ped Egg and it has a smoother side on the other side of the grater. I tried to use that on my leg and it hurt. I was thinking it must be about the same thing as Smooth Away. It has to be rough to remove hair that way. Ouch.

I used them once and didn't like them. It didn't hurt but i had to use them like twice as much as shaving and they didn't last very long.

I used one of those on my facial hair (which is now zapped with a laser) and it did not work at all. Yes, it is just like sandpaper. I guess it would exfoliate well. I have a ped egg and love it, it really gets the dead heel skin off.

hated them......like said before...just get a peice of sandpaper and rub it on you....and it did not even take the hair away......just gave me raw skin...lol

I bought one at Walgreens the other day. First time I tried using it I was mad because it wasn't taking the hair off, but then I actually read the directions and how you're supposed to use it, and it did actually work. The "sandpaper" itself didn't hurt my skin and I have sensitive skin, but you don't get much out of the "sandpaper" (meaning you have to replace it too soon) and I personally thought it was a waste of money. My daughter loves it though, she uses it now.

I've got the smooth away and I use it and it does work, its not sandpaper and it doesnt hurt. The downfall is that the pads don't last long and it takes longer than shaving but you don't get the razer bumps or itching you get with shaving.
