I know if you just cut out soda and any carbonated drinks of any kind you will lose weight. Something about the carbonation.

Don't forget this also: Yes it is important to eat healthy and in moderation but if you have a craving for ice cream, eat it! Just don't eat a LOT of it.

I know all too often that is why I, myself and other people have failed at better eating habits. And if I crave something and don't get it...I will eat everything else in sight until I find what I wanted and then I will eat that too! So it's much worse than getting what you REALLY want and just satisfying your craving.

    HTH and good luck!

Are you on any medications? Some medicines can cause weight gain. I know some blood pressure medicines cause weight gain and it is hard to loose the weight while taking the medicine.

My antidepressant I take at night for fibro contributed to my weight gain..

Everyone who said to consult your doctor first is right... He/She may be able to tailor your diet based on your medical history..

    Good luck..

There is a book called Body for Life for Women. Great book. You can diet all you want however if you don't incorporate at least some kind of workout, the weight will not come off and stay off.

Body for Life shows you how to eat the right foods and adds some resistance training along with some cardio. Lean muscle burns more calories thus resulting in whole body weight loss
