My heater cant keep up!!!

OMG it is 23' here right now and my heater is in aux. heat(blue light on) and it is blowing cold air.
It cant keep up so I am so cold!!!
Supposed to warm up to 60 by lunch!
Record lows for us!

Man..I am from Germany and I am a big Steelers fan..and my dream was always to go to a Steelers game!!! You are soo lucky...!

I am just North of Tampa..We are volunteers at the Super Bowl.
We got to meet WilliE Parker a couple of yrs back. We even got to drive him to the airport. He came into my BIL dealership and got a car while at spring training.

Awesome...I am jealous...LOL....how can you volunteer at the superbowl..LOL...you would think that there are millions of people who would do that...

That stinks. We are excited cause it's suppposed to be 30 today and tomorrow lol. Never fear though, our highs for the weekend is single digits.

I hate the cold but this Artic Blast sure has helped us. DH is Mr.Fix-it lol. He has been out fixing leak after leak all over town. It seems like as soon as he replaces one pipe another gets a leak. One guy's toliet froze and was a block of ice. Shattered the tank! He has even fixed some sewer lines that froze YUCK!
We felt real sorry for one older lady. She hasn't had her furnace going in three years. She said she can't afford the gas bill, so she has a couple little space heaters in the rooms that she uses. I'm real surprised her pipes hadn't froze sooner. DH fixed the pipes, and then fixed her furnace. Of course she doesn't have any money, and that doesn't help us much. But she gave DH almost $1,000 worth of tools. He is like a little kid at Christmas time lol.
DH is always doing things to help others.
Sometimes he gets upset with himself. He says helping others is not helping us. I see it just the opposite. I believe that if your good to people than good things will happen to you. Am I wrong?

I would bet you have a heat pump. They always feel like it is blowing cold air in the heat mode. That is what they are suppose to do heat using ambient heat not forced hot air. If you took a thermometer and put it by the vent it will be about 85 degrees coming out. They slowly heat the room so that the air does not get too dried out. I only know all this crap since I work for a A/C contractor (part time job) use to work for him FT and I hated cold snaps. Everyone would call to tell me their heat pump was not working. If it is really cold switch it to the emergency heat setting on the thermostat. Then go watch your power meter spin like crazy. The energy efficiency of a heat pump is why so many people have them. HTH at least it is suppose to get up to the 70's this weekend.

If you have a blow dryer, use it on the coils. When it gets this cold down here, the condensation freezes, so the fan outside stops spinning.

DH kept going outside last night to use the blow dryer.

My blood has thinned waaaayyy too much. Did you actually go below freezing? I know that some counties futher inland were supposed to go down to the 20's. I did not move to FL for this type of weather!

yes we went below freezing(hard freeze) they called it! 23 was on dig thermomoter
My mom is about 30 miles north of me and was even lower than that.
We are on the west coast side.
We lost all the plants we had outside.
This was a record low, I guess it is supposed to freeze again tonite too, but then warm up for the wekend(70s)
