I love to sing or dance to aggrevate my kids or if my son is playing music in his room I will wait for certain lyrics to certain songs he thinks I dont know the words to and pop my head around the corner and lip sync. really makes him mad. or Ill be dancing when hes doing something else and he sees me and says" mom I dont see you" I also do the dancing or singing in the store aisles also. another thing that makes them roll their eyes is singing to 50s music they really hate that

I will chat with strangers waiting in line. I guess I am not supposed to be friendly.

Oh yeah - I sing too

Well, I have 13 & 14 y/o boys and 9 & 3 y/o girls. The 9 y/o is just starting to be embarassed by me. The boys have been for years. I sing and dance with the little one everywhere even at school. The boys stay ahead of me and pretend they don't know me and the 9 y/o just rolls her eyes and says "Mom!"

Funny they used to think I was the coolest mom of the whole school. I wonder what happened?

I just start talking like they do or start singing one of their favorite songs.

I'm the cool mom. My kids hug and kiss me in public, my daughter will hold my hand. My kids never seem ashamed of me and they are 6, 13 and 16. We dance and sing out loud in public. We turn the music up in the truck no matter what kind of music because we listen to each others music. I hang out with my daughter and her friends when they come over to spend the night, we watch movies and eat popcorn and they keep coming back.

Now, when my oldest was I'd say 10 maybe, I took him to school and walked him to class on the 1st day of school. I gave him a hug and said outloud, I LOOOOOVE you and gave him a big smooch on the cheek, he HATED that. lol
