    Mirena....again

Ok, I don't want to open this again...but if there is anyone out there ON THIS BOARD THAT HAS IT...(I have seen other boards and have reasearched it) can you please let me know your side effects?

I have had this since Oct. 07 and and am thinking of getting it removed. Please let me know your thoughts on your experience.

I had it for almost four years and then dh and I decided we wanted to try and conceive so I had it removed last July (2007). After the baby is born I'm going to get it again. I didn't have any side affects with it. It's the best birth control I ever used.

Had mine 4 yrs and no prob. at all. The hardest was insertion for me b/c I had c-sections and didn't dilate. It's getting close to me having to have it taken out and am plan on getting another one. Don't want more kids but not ready for the permament stuff yet.

I have the ParaGard one (last 10 years, made of copper) and am getting it in Nov. I'll have had it for 10 years then. Dr. convinced me to try Mirena and that's what I'll be replacing the old one with. We'll see. Personally, I'm NOT having any more kids and want it out! out I tell you!
It's only kinky the first time.

I have had it for 4 years and love it! No side effects whatsoever. Just lighter or no periods

Mine never completely stopped but my OB said that it's actually better to have a period every month. Mine were just shortened to about three days.

I've had it since February and love it. Light to no period each month. No cramps and I'm not too cranky either...

Never heard of it. (Of course, I'm passed worrying about those things...LOL.) Is it a type of IUD?
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.
