PEOPLE reports that Spears got a visit from TV's Dr. Phil McGraw at Cedars Sinai Medical Center hospital. Shortly before his visit, Spears demanded and was granted her release. McGraw then escorted Spears to her car via an underground tunnel.
"My meeting with Britney and some of her family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car. I am very concerned for her," McGraw told ET Onilne.

He must really be wanting her on his show, strictly for ratings I'm sure. Honestly, unless I wanted my dirty laundry on national tv (maybe she does, I don't know) I wouldn't confide in him or seek his help. Didn't he also try to get Anna Nicole Smith on his show after her son had passed away? I think I saw him make that remark on his show, when her Mom or half-sis were guests.

I could be wrong but I thought that Dr. Phil did a show about Britney a couple of months ago. Maybe he is just following up with her or something.

well if anyone can get her into treatment maybe it is Dr Phil.......and as far having it national tv well duh she has been on international tv for years now so maybe she can get help and then let her story out the way that she wants to. I know alot of ppl think she is just a piece of crap but I really hope she is able to help herself for the sake of the kids and herself

I think her Mom may have spoke to Dr. Phil at some point, but I'm not 100% certain. I'd really love to see the woman get some help, so that she can be a good mother for her children. To heck with her career, her children are what's important.

Also, remember when she first married K-Fed and he was like the most hated man around? It seems like people thought she would quickly rebound after the divorce and become exactly as she was prior to marrying him. It really seems like this is when we started hearing about her going off the deep end. Now Kevin is hailed as the "stable" one. Maybe the whole drama of divorce just set off her depression or something. I don't know, but I pray that she gets some help.
