Hey I'm a pretty hard core Republican and I don't think it's a good idea. That's ok though, I don't think you should have to pee for your job too(in most cases). So basically you are saying because someone can't afford food or needs help to get through the month they shouldn't smoke a big fat one when a friend brings one over. How about I wrench my back, well I'm obviously poor so no doc for me. Instead I take some of mom's leftover pain pills for it. Can't sleep.... don't take that friend's ambien. Now if you are injured, acting funny, or cause an accident at work then please test away.

well, i personally think that mari j should be legal, but that's neither here nor there. i was thinkin more along the lines of heroin, crack, cocaine, meth....that sort of stuff.

Hmmm, you raise some very interesting points. I'll have to consider them and possibly change my position. (And don't anyone say I'm wishy-washy!

I believe that when one is presented with new evidence, changing your mind can be the intelligent thing to do.)

The saddest thing about this whole situation is that all of us feel powerless to do anything about it. Drug testing at work, to me depends on the job.
Drug testing for welfare recipients, depends on the drug.

Well think about this.

If you can LOSE YOUR KIDS because of smoking MJ then why should you not lose your foodstamps or cash assistance for smoking it. (and the other drugs as well of course)

There are some jobs where drug testing should be mandatory. Those who get welfare should also be tested. If you can afford to buy drugs then you can afford to take care of yourself.
