Wow! I'm pretty open-minded, but I can certainly see how this could be "difficult", especially for your husband!

sounds like this could be a good episode of dr. philthenanite.

'what in the hell are you thinkin'?'
'do you think this'll work? i'm not too confident 'bout that myself.'

    'next on dr. philthenanite.......'

'what did you think your son would feel like, he not gonna wanna call this younger guy dad......'

please repeat to yourself,"it's just a post, i should really just relax...."

I am not the one who married the younger person, so my son does not have to call anyone younger "dad" i think you misread.....

Yes it was today....... in her living room, with a few of her local friends
as well as 2 pogo friends.
Nothing special, Hubby didnt make it, he had out of town work in Arlington Va.
Should have taken place at the county fair this weekend!

I feel for you. All families have members who do something the rest of the family feel is crazy. Since I don't know these people I don't know if this is something they entered into lightly or if they seriously think this is going to work. But try not to let it worry you. Sometimes we can't stop worrying about how it is going to be for our children but it will work out. Either the marriage will work and you will all learn to live with it or the marriage will fail.
Time will tell. At least it is not you and it is something you have no control over so don't worry about it anymore than you have to.
