Thread: How many times have you been married???

I agree, third time is a charm, same here. The first I met when I was 19, we got married, had a son and then we drifted apart. I wanted a husband at home on the weekends and he was a workaholic. We get along great now since we both grew up. The second should have never happened. He was a marine and an alcoholic but I didn't see realize he had a drinking problem until after we got married. I don't put up with anyone's crap so I told him to hit the road. The third is a charm, everything I want in a guy, stability, security and treats me like a queen, oh and he rides a Harley..BONUS lol. He is the only man who really knows how to handle me. I can be a spitfire LOL This is his second marriage, he lost his wife to cancer in 2002.

He was 18, had a job, a car, an apartment - hey, that's all ya need when you're young and dumb... anyways, I kept threatening my parents that I would run away with him if they didn't let us marry, so they did. They (my parents) owned rental property, and we moved in next door to them...lol, that way they could still 'watch me'. Anyway, that ended three years later, when I was 18 (yes, I met another guy I was crazy about). The second was out of pity. This guy was a friend of mine all through school, and, he went in the Air Force, met a lady, got married, had a baby etc... turns out she just wanted the baby of a military guy, so, their marriage didn't work, and he moved back here, and we started dating. Anyway, it was an all one-sided relationship... he was really good to me, but, all he wanted was to be married, so, I married him... although I didn't 'really' love him the way a wife should. It only lasted one year.

Now, I have been married 21 years (as of August 1st.) to the man I should have married in the first place. So, the third was the charm for me. Live and learn I guess.
