Wedding party is bride, groom, both sets of parents, bridesmaids, groomsmens, flower girl & ring bearer ( sometimes ushers & minister or priest)

Re: wedding help asap pls

I thought the grooms side was responsible for the rehearsal dinner (optional), the male attendants, the minister, the male ushers, the janitor to clean up the place. And most important the groom is responsible for the honeymoon unless there is a rich person that buys it for them. Look in a wedding ettique book or online and that should tell you what it is today. I only know from 1960.

Re: wedding help asap pls

The wedding party would be bride and groom, best man and ushers, the maid of honor and her bridesmaids.

Never went to a wedding that had a music director. But I forgot we did pay for the organist.

Re: wedding help asap pls

You could look up wedding etiquette but you're going to find a lot of different answers. I just looked at a couple of sites and some don't recognize the grooms and brides parents or the flower girl and ring bearer as part of the wedding party. The people that sit at the head table is usually just the ones that are actually standing up with the bride and groom. You wouldn't have the minister or music director at the head table. I have never seen parents sitting at the head table at any of the weddings that I've been to but I guess it all depends on what the bride and groom decide to do.

Re: wedding help asap pls

when I got married we only had best man, maid of honor, bridesmaids, groomsmen, usher, ringer bearer, my parents and grandmother, and his parents and grandfather. The minister was also there since it was right after the rehearsal. We didn't invite the singer, felt no need to do it. Happy wedding planning!!

Re: wedding help asap pls

When my step DD got married a couple of years ago this is who was at the rehearsal dinner...Bride, groom and their parents and grandparents, bridesmaids and groomsmen and their spouse/date, ushers and their spouse/date, flowergirl and ringbearer and their parents. Some people brought along their children which they were asked specifically NOT to do, which upset my step DD a lot. They had not paid for enough meals for these kids to be brought along and some had to go without a meal. My step DD and her groom planned and paid for everything themsleves.
