Speaking of remembering...does anyone (but me) remember Koogle? It was flavored smooth peanut butter. My favorite was banana flavored, but they had others. I can't even find a reference on the web.

Don't know why, but there is a photo of the lid on this page. Maybe one of those recipes called for it. I didn't read them to find out.

I also keep finding references in my searches saying on this page it is talking about Kraft Koogle making a come back under another name. But I don't want to read the whole page to find it. You can search for it in all his ramblings if you want to. I don't have have the patients to read it all.

Wow, loved that baby boomers site! Got me thinking about food from my childhood and the ones I miss. Besides Koogle, carnation instant breakfast bars, jello pops, some kind of yogurt, fruit and granola bar, Cornquistos (used to eat two bags a weekend while reading books), quisp cereal, flavor straws (where you suck milk through the straw and it flavors the milk, strawberry was the best). I remember Dairy Queen had a crunchy sweet dip for their cones (now you can only get the chocolate). And Farrels ice cream shop. It was an old fashioned soda/ice cream shop and if you went there for your birthday, they had an old fashioned fire engine siren they'd wind up and bring a sunday with a sparkler in it. All the employees wore white pants and black bow ties, with a red and white striped vest and straw hats. It was GREAT!
