Thread: Just to set the record straight.

First and foremost, I am no longer a mod here. When the boards were hacked, and down for what seemed like forever...myself nor any of the admins could access the control panel. Links that were posted ended up with redirects to porn(even before the hacking)and there was nothing we could do about it. After working forever to move one of those threads I finally just threw my hands up in the air and said the heck with it. Once the boards were back up and running(for the most part) I checked back in and realized that I was no longer a Mod. I don't know who did it although I do have a very good idea. It doesn't matter though because it's just as well that I don't work here any more. I became a mod because I genuinely loved this place and we were being overrun by trolls at the time. As time went on though, it became more and more apparent that Alex didn't care a bit about this place anymore, nor did he care about the members....if he did he would NEVER have picked the person he did to be the newest mod.
I know that Alex thinks of us as nothing but a member number but we are so much more than that. Many of us have laughed and cried here, hugged and fought here and made numerous friends here. What we didn't sign up for was the spyware, the viruses, and the general lack of respect when it came to problems with the boards.

I just wanted to set the record straight on why I wasn't a mod anymore. I didn't ask to be demoted, someone took it upon themselves to do it. Too bad they didn't have the balls to tell me.

I love you to death Sherry. Unfortunately, after it was done, our requests for answers as to WHY? were never answered. I truly appreciate all the work you did here. When you came back with me, and tried to get the board going, taking suggestions with me to help make ths place better again, it meant a lot. I wish he would take your work here into consideration, before replacing you with someone who doesn't even know the whole story about things that have gone on here in the past, as it's not stuff we promote all over the boards.

I'm afraid if BBS was going downhill before, it is truly on a downward spiral path now with the recent changes. Unfortunately, we all seem to be truly expendable.
