    Are you cooking Sunday dinner?

I'm making herbed pork chops with mushroom gravy, and either pasta or sparkle potatoes, green beans with a vinegrette and I made some banana pudding earlier...you know the one...the french vanilla pudding and cool whip, cream cheese....

Re: Are you cooking Sunday dinner?

We finally turned off the AC and I am actually cooking, I am so sick of "summer" food and grilling, so I am having lasagna, salad & garlic cheese bread, I even baked chocolate chip cookies...
Why not learn to enjoy the little things - there are so many of them.

I've had stew meat simmering on the stove since 9:30 this morning, soup sounded good then, but now ds and I are both bored, so thinking about going for a sandwich and having soup tomorrow.

Don't know where we're going, but gonna get out of the apartment for a little while.

Re: Are you cooking Sunday dinner?

Well, Of course you wouldn't because it's another one of those MK concoctions.

    Sparkle Potatoes

    1 Pound bacon, diced
    1 large onion, sliced
3 pound potato, sliced skin on
    2 cloves garlic
    1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 can Sprite, not diet
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1/4 cup Parsley Flakes
    1/2 Pound cheddar cheese, grated

Brown bacon in dutch oven. Drain and add onion and garlic. Cook
until clear. Add potatoes and mushrooms and mix well. Pour in
Sprite. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover and cook until
potatoes are tender. Add parsley and cook another 5 minutes. Just
before serving, top with cheese and serve after cheese melts.
