I didnt know where to post this but I need some help.I want to put something up for sale/trade but since I never done this before I dont have any feedback. Will this be a problem trying to sell/trade something? Also Im having a hard time trying to think of a fair price for the item I want to sell/trade.How do you figure out what is a fair price?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not having feedback is sometimes overlooked if you are a fairly active member... some people are very careful about dealing w/ someone with no feedback and sometimes may ask you to send your end first. When I first started, I sent my end first quite a few times, but ONLY after checking their feedback. Might not be something that you feel comfortable with doing tho.

As far as a fair price, I usually go to ebay and look up what I am selling and base my price on the current and winning bids. Sometimes I don't know what is really fair and if something doesn't sell, I will lower the price... I will eventually get to a price that someone wants to pay or it will get so low that I just don't sell it because I don't want to just give it away for almost nothing.

Also keep in mind that FSOT boards are people looking for that good deal. If you are selling a book for $5 and I can get it from ebay cheaper, I will go to ebay. To buyers like me its all about getting the best deal.

Thank you for your help.Im not sure if I would feel comfortable sending out my end first but I guess if I have to I will.I need the money for christmas shopping.I checked ebay and it wasnt listed. Its actually something that I won on an instant win that I wont be needing. It says its a $58 value so what would be a good asking price?

I read somewhere that you should ask 33% of the items value when purchased...dont know if that helps

This is totaly JMO, but if you have something brand new, and it is something I want/need, I would pay up to 80% of the value (including shipping) sometimes 90% if I really want it lol

As far as sending your end.... if you are not comfortable with it, don't do it. Especially if its with someone who has no feedback and not a regular visitor here. When I sent mine out first, it was to someone I knew a little about and were active members here... not just FSOT but over here as well. Its not something that everyone will do and there's nothing wrong with saying "no" that you won't send your end first.
