    Question Cheap car insurance?

Who has the lowest rates for car insurance? It seems no matter who we go with, our rates are always high. After May's payment, we'll be up for renewal and I want to find something cheaper. We currently have Progressive and we're paying $145 a month. I don't know why our insurance is so high. We have a 1995 Dodge Ram conversion van with close to 90,000 miles on it. My husband is the only licensed driver in the house and he's never had his license suspended or any accidents. He did get a ticket about 5 or 6 years ago for making an illegal U-turn. But other then that nothing. I asked why our insurance is so high but the only thing they could tell me is if you don't have good credit, your payments are higher.

The state you live in and your credit history and your driving record all have to do with your insurance rate. I was mad as hell , My husband and I have great drivinf reocrds and credit but live in Westchester NY. I find our insurance high for our good record. If any one has any info on how to get better rates or know a good company please let me know.
    thanks

    WOW
shewwwwwww thats awful. I have a 92 dodge caravan, dh has 1989 GMC crew cab truck and we pay $325 for liability on both every six months. Couldn't imagine rates that high. We have it thru State Farm, in KY. We also get a 2 vehicle discount.

I'm here in Ohio, me and hubby have perfect driving records.. we own, a 98 Dodge Stratus.. only has 65,000 miles got it new 6 years ago, that has full coverage.. then we have a junky old pick-up hubby drives to work loaded with miles.. liability on that and we pay $700 a year, thru a local insurance company.
I hear your credit can be determined in the way the companies charge ya.. which is bull crap i think.

We had Safeco before and I didn't like them. They always sent the statements after the payment was due. I just don't understand why our payments are so high for just one person.

We actually have Geico which is the cheapest for us. Though we have a newer truck with a loan and 4x4 so it isn't cheap to begin with. They were the cheapest though with Dh's new truck.

Just because you have bad credit, doesn't make you a bad driver.
