i got one... and for the last few days i had a cold.. im taking OJ (big glasses yummm)echineachea (2 a day for about 2 days), caffine (DONT WORRY IM NOT OVERDOING IT ), and flonase. i am avoiding the sudafed and other sinus pills.. i am blocked up like a clogged drain! i am doing steam and warm compresses etc... vicks vapo rub etc...


my question..

my heart began palpitatiing this morning... kinda like it used to befor i went on synthroid...

now is this because of the cold.... is my cold aggravating my hashimotos... OR is my hashimotos aggravating my cold.... or is it totally unrelated and the cold is just making my heart palpitate.

lol im quite new at this and i havent found a thing on the web....

It may be the echineachea. That's the only strange thing on your list. My hubby has had the hyper kind but he takes Sudafed when he has a sinus cold. Are you suppose to avoid it?

You might check the echineachea and Flonase for side effects.

I did some searching around and in the side effects for Flonase it does not list palpitations. But I ran across some people on other boards saying that they got palpitations from it. Flonase is a nasal corticosteroid if you have only been taking it a couple of days I would stop taking it and see if it gets better. If you have been on it long term I don't think you can just stop it I think you would have to weaned off it but not sure. If you have been on it long term stop taking the echineachea maybe the 2 don't go well together. I couldn't find anything on echineachea for side effects. If you stop one and it continues then I would stop them both.

Call your pharmacist and see if they have any reports on Flonase causing palpatations. Not every side effect is listed on your meds info.

even b4 i start taking the stuff i get palpitations... a few days b4 any cold sypmtoms occur i get the palpitations...
