I'm asking this because I'm thinking about going to college

for web design

so what do you do? also if it's not too personal how much do you make a year? thanks!

First and foremost I am a mom... thats my full time job. Then on the side I do webdesign and Ebay. I also volunteer for a womens domestic violence shelter. I haven't been getting in as many hours as I'd like at the shelter, but when shcool is out I can take the kids w/ me so we will be there more

I won't get into exact #'s, but what I made from webdesign and ebay (not including DH's income) I made about $4,000. I have shifted to doing more ebay and less webpages. I get REAL burnt out on webpages REAL fast and I just get to a point to where I don't even want to do them at all.

Full time Mom, childcare cordinator for a large church in Raleigh, I clean an office on fri. pm's and sell Avon.I only make 8,000 a yr. for all 3! Not much if you ask me!

I'm a licensed Realtor and assistant to my Broker. I make a salary AND commission. My salary is about $32,000/year plus medical benefits and my commission can my unlimited depending on how hard I want to work....last year I made about $15,000 in commission (of course, last year was my first year doing this so let's hope this year is better).

I think graphic design is a fantastic field to go into. I wish I knew more about it because I do a lot of design as my broker's assistant.

I owned a Webdesign company in NC, closed it and moved to Raleigh. I am now a loan officer, and like it much better. Like Butterfli said, you get burnt out real quick doing webdesign. As far as pay being a LO, straight commission, depends on business.

I worked as a technology instructor/tech contact at a local elementary school but I resently resigned. I also owned a web design business but designers are a dime a dozen now (IMHO) I'm now working from home doing custom invitations & announcements, candy grams announcements, photo restoration, etc..

I'm a Secretary for a married couple. She's a massage therapist and he's a General Contractor and realtor. We have a lady who makes up all our massage gc's/appt cards/business cards. We order everything for the Real Estate. Good luck to you!!

I am a Registered Nurse. I work at a hospital, 12 hour night shifts. It has good job security, there will always be sick people. If I get tired of where I work, there are always plenty of other jobs out there as a nurse. I like where I work, and it happens to be the highest paying hospital in the Denver area. Husband is a cop. He is also on the SWAT team. Good job security there too. This world seems to be full of criminals.

I am an office assistant and really don't make a while lot. Wich is fine by me, I make enough to pay my bills and have a little extra left over..

sahm but worked at a shoe factory making easy spirit shoes before I ahd my babies.

oh my hubby has a good job..good pay for around here in Ky

he builds homes for a non profit organization which help low income people out by building like 50 to 60 thousand dollars homes,and they pay the morgage based on income
