Who is on a Diet?
I was wondering who here is dieting right now? What are you doing? Is it working for you ? How long have you been doing it? How much have you lost? How much more do you want to lose? What do you eat? I am thinking about starting the Weight Watchers diet. Anyone have any advice about Weight Watchers?
Thanks!!!

Re: Who is on a Diet?
I'm not on any certain diet. I bought a Gazelle a few months ago and then started watching what I eat. I eat a salad for at least one meal then I pretty much eat normal except for all the snacking I used to do (I am a chocoholic lol)
When I got the gazelle I was really surprised at how easy it was. I love it. Its eaiser than a treadmill and my knees no longer hurt. I have lost a total of 34lbs since november, but 22 of it came off after I got the gazelle. It bootest my energy like you would not believe. I can do 5 miles on it with no problem... I used to only be able to go 2 miles on the treadmill and felt like I was dying (manual treadmill uphill) I get on the gazelle and pop in a CD or watch tv and before I know it I have been on it for an hour.
I tried the atkins last year... now I eat more bread then I ever did LOL
I will have to get brave and post before and after pics.

Re: Who is on a Diet?
My mother went to Weight Watchers last year before she went on a cruise. She only had about 15 pounds to lose but a friend of hers was going and asked my mother to go along with her. She sent me her books and it's basically the same as what the nutritionist recommended to me. Althought the nutritionist doesn't call it a diet. She calls it a lifestyle. I also don't own a scale. If I did I would be weighing myself and just end up getting discouraged. I can tell by the way my clothes fit that I'm loosing weight.

Re: Who is on a Diet?
When am I NOT on a diet?? LOL!
I have tried Atkins, South Beach, NutriSystem, Weight Watchers and I still come back to the SeeFood Diet...You know the one where you see the food and eat the food! LOL! Hon, good luck....Between my health issues which make it hard for me to loose weight and my chocolate problem...I am hopelessly stuck at a 18-20!!

Re: Who is on a Diet?
I had baby weight to lose and have lost between 15-20. I have coffee and a mini bagel with cream cheese for breakfast. For lunch, I usually have a turkey or ham sandwich on Sara Lee Delightful wheat bread. Dinner is usually a bowl of Special K. (I can never find time to sit and a eat a regular meal at night.) Plus, I try to sneak as many veggies in as I can through out the day. I never deny myself something because its "bad". It just makes me want it more.
For exercise, I'm taking care of a one year old and a 6 year old by myself. I'm always on the go.

Re: Who is on a Diet?
butterfli-I have a gazelle, too! I LOVE it! I've lost over 50 pounds, and I know it's due mostly to the workout. How much do you do? I'm on everyday for at least 30 minutes. My goals are to do at LEAST 300 calories, and I try to keep my speed around 6 mph.
I totally love Tony Little. I owe my good health, and size 6 to him.

I don't watch the calories, I watch the mileage. I do 5 miles a day 3 days a week and at least 3 miles or more the other 4 days... not all at once. Sometimes I will do 2 or 3 at once if I have the time, but I try to do at least one at a time. I have no clue how much I am on it LOL Lets see...
judge judy - 1 hr
morning er - 1 hr
gma - 30 minutes
then an hour or more in the eve
I had NO idea this little machine would be so great! I got it from LTD commodities, so I didn't have to pay for it till I got it (I wanted to make sure I liked it lol) but this thing is awesome. Its the first time in my life that I have worked out w/o feeling like I worked out. I figured I would have to make major changes in my eating habits, but I really haven't, just a few tweeks.

Re: Who is on a Diet?
I went on the Zone diet and lost 60lbs in less than a year! That was almost 4 years ago. I still follow it today but not strictly. I do watch what I eat. I do eat a lot of salmon, tuna, haddock, turkey, ham, yogurt, fresh veggies and fresh fruit. Even when I was sticking to the diet I would take the weekends and eat what ever I wanted to. I added 30 minutes of beginner pilates and 1 hour on the treadmill rotating which days I did what. I fell off watching what I was eating when the holidays started coming around and didn't do my exercises either so I'm slowly getting back into the habit since the nice weather is here and I'm out of shape again, but still in my size 6's. I was down to size 4. I'm 5'7" and weighed in at 130lbs and was a size 4!! Whoo Hoo!! I have fibromyalgia so eating right and staying in shape is a requirement to feeling good. I love the Zone diet... I hate calling it a diet though.. I call it a healthy way to life now. I am and always will be a junk food junkie... just on weekends..lol.
Good luck to anyone who is starting a diet.. its a very hard thing to start and follow.

I've been going to the place that has the robotics tables. I drink slim fast for lunch and then eat a heathy dinner. I've only lost around 24 lbs but I have went down 3 sizes in jeans. It is so neat. I've only gone 3 months and my hubby goes too. He has lost alot but he also walks the treadmill every day. When he went to the doc Monday she was supprised he had lost 70 lbs since christmas.

Re: Who is on a Diet?
I've done Atkins since 1/1/04. I have lost 76lbs. It took from 1/1/04 to late Feb. 05. Right about 14 months. The last 10 were slllloooowww to come off. I had lost 23lb prior to starting Atkins, so am down 99lbs from my highest wt. I love Atkins. I don't exercise either, though I am going to start a little wt. training to tone up my upper arms mostly.
