Anyone using a debt management or budget program to get you out of debt?
My family seriously needs to get on track here, any one have any advice?

Just be careful. Daughter tried a debt management program and it was a joke. They paid up front and the place ripped them off. They had to file bankrup. after that. Just a warning-check it out first before you shell out any money.

i was told not to ever do it, they do things for you that you can do your self and they charge you for these services. most the places you owe money to will give you smaller payments, or will give you a settlement offer or other programs..you just have to ask them. these places just do that and than give you one total amoount to pay each month.

i have never had any debt management or budget program. but my bil put me on a budget before and it was great. i wish i could get myself back to it. weather in my way now. lol my dh works in timber so bad weather makes for short weeks. lol anyway good luck

oh a program! sorry. i just typed it into google and there are lots, some say free trial though so you'll have to check them out. one was at ivillage. just type "free budgeting program" into google .
