I use kazaa lite, but not to DL music (anymore)... a bunch of people in our area were busted not too long ago for that and they were charged something like 70 cents per song. One lady ended up paying a little over $2500 in court

I mostly use it now to find templates or if I am looking for certain pics or graphics

A lot of people use Limewire and like it.

When I was on dialup, I used winmx and loved it. But I can't get it to work now that I have DSL, so I use Limewire.

Just be careful... there's lots of good ones, but a lot of them are being forced to give up IP#s and some of them (like mIRC), all they have to do is type in a few keystrokes to get your IP# to trace you. I personally suggest newsgroups... not the free ones through your internet, but ones that cost a few bucks a month... they are completely anonymous so far.

You can get a subscription to a streaming site like real rhapsody for $9.95 a month then you can use software to convert to mp3s. The risk is not worth it anymore to download the free ones. I figure $9.95 a month to keep my teen off those programs is a small price to pay plus most any song she wants to listen to is at her fingertips.
I do however download ebooks and things off kazaa lite sometimes. It still works although my favorite one - arres - no longer seems to work.
If its FREE, I want it!
