You should be able to find out on this page. We filed our taxes through the PA web site but we never get anything back. We always break even on the state and local taxes. Anyway, hope this helps you out.

If you have last years taxes enter that info. It may want that to confirm your information. If I'm not mistaken when my husband did ours on there web site we had to enter info from 2003. If entering that doesn't help out then try clicking on the link below it "Check the Status of My Return"?
If you filled through there website then you already have a E-Signature User ID and Password. If you didn't use there site then New Users must first register a User ID and Password. Maybe this one will work if the other doesn't.

There are several options for checking the status of your refund.

(1) If you have touch-tone telephone service, you can call the automated FACT and Information Line toll-free at 1-888-PATAXES. It's available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Users are required to enter the taxpayer's Social Security Number and the dollar amount of the refund.

(2) The PA Department of Revenue has developed a secure Web application that gives taxpayers and tax practitioners the ability to check the status of a taxpayer's current year personal income tax refund. Users are required to enter the taxpayer's social security number and the dollar amount of the refund. To use this service, visit www.revenue.state.pa.us and click on "Where's my refund?"

(3) Call the Department's Taxpayer Service & Information Center at 717-787-8201 to speak to a representative.

How long does it take to process a Personal Income Tax refund?
Answer
It depends how and when you file. If you file before March 10th, using one of the electronic filing methods, your refund will probably be processed in about 3 - 4 weeks. If you file after March 10th., it takes longer, even if you file electronically.

If you file a paper tax return before March 10th., it will take between 6 to 8 weeks to process your refund. After that, if you file a paper return, it will take the Department between 10 to 12 weeks to process your refund.

If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can check on the status of your return and refund using our toll-free FACT and Information Line at 1-888-PA TAXES. You will need to know the primary social security number on the return, along with amount of refund requested. This number is available 24 hours a day.
