Is there not a Ronald McDonald house for them to stay in? Or a hospitality house? Thats sad there isnt something there for them.

There is a Ronald Mcdonald house but she can't stay there cause there is nothing wrong with the baby , There is a hotel that gives a discount but its still $40 a night

Wow, he's growing fast! Glad he's doing so well!!!
I'd be damned if that hospital would keep me away from my child, visiting hours or not, they should let the parents be there 100% of the time to be promoting bonding, learning how to feed and care for that baby, and everything else. Just because he was a preemie doesn't mean he doesn't need his parents!

My daughter is 31 years old , when she was 19 she had a baby at 6 mo preg. , HE DIED, she has also had 5 miscarrages , surgerys , drugs - everything to have a child , she gave up , never expected to have this baby,
SHE DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE HIM THERE --- ITS THE RULES !!!!
YOU THINK YOU'D BE DAMNED --- NO - YOU'D BE IN JAIL & WOULDN'T SEE YOUR BABY AT ALL !

I don't understand the rules the hopital has there either. My second son was a premie and that was all that was wrong with him (at the time - later when he was 5 mos we found he had a heart defect) and they did not stop us from being there 24 hrs. Maybe they are doing it so the hospital doesn't get so crowded? A lot of times if you don't make a lot of noise most won't say anything. I have to wonder, though, about a hospital that won't let parents stay. I would wonder what they are trying to hide. Hugs to you and your daughter and grandbaby reneep45
Edited: I wonder why the RMH they will not let your daughter stay. Again when my son was at the hopital when he was a premie, RMH let us stay there. Not just me but my hubby and my other son too. Do you guys live in the town where the hospital is? Hope things get better for all you guys and as long as the baby is growing ( and it sounds like he is) and being taken care of I wouldn't worry bout it too much
