Thread: Think we can defend our title?

Every year, our community has a Fourth of July house decorating contest. We always look forward to it, and this is the 6th year we've competed. We've won every year except once. Here is a pic of last year's entry. This year we have all that...although not in the same places...and a whole lot more. We even painted a huge flag on our lawn.
Today is the judging. Wish us luck as we attempt to defend our title.

This was the first year we painted our lawn. We simply used cheap spray paint. I'm not sure what it'll do to the grass...we took our chances. It turned out quite nicely, and I can post a pic as soon as I get one. (New digital camera...haven't quite figured it out yet. )

Judging was yesterday...if we won, we're likely to get the call today. Apparently the new camera is defective, so I'm just going to go buy a disposable and quick take pics and develop.
Reporter from our local paper contacted me yesterday. Expects to come out and do an article on the decorating contest and our "Hometown Celebration" this weekend. I'll let you know.
