I need everyones opinion PLEASE!!!!
We are going to Gatlinburg for vacation next month. Short version of a long story is the rental company called and said the house we have rented is no longer on the program. Here is where I need everyone's opinions. I picked the second house listed b/c of the bigger beds, but now I am second guessing myself. Everyone else is at work so I can't ask them. Should I have went with the first house since it had private bedrooms even thought the beds are smaller? Or should I have picked the 2nd house with the bigger beds and less privacy? I am really liking the basket ball thing in the gameroom but I'm still not sure about the whether or not I made the right choice. What do you think?
There will be 7 of us going, 4 adults and 3 kids. Here are the 2 houses I had to chose from.
This one has 3 private bedrooms but only one queen size bed, the other 2 are full size beds. We really wanted at least queen sized for all the bedrooms. http://www.sunsetcottage.com/appalachia.html
This one only has 2 bedrooms but there is a king bed in one, a queen in the other, then there is a queen sleeper sofa and twin sized bunks. This is the house I picked. http://www.sunsetcottage.com/bearmountainhideaway.html

I always say go with your gut instinct. The house you chose looks really good. With either choice im sure you'll have a good time. If worse comes to worse you could always flip for it Have a great time!

Cool! I wanna go there!
The adults are getting the bedrooms (in the one you chose)right? I think it sounds fine! I'm sure the kids won't mind much. Wait, are there 2 couples right? I'm sure it'll work out either way and you guys wil be having so much fub it won't matter

Treat everyone with politeness, even those who
are rude to you - not because they are nice, but
because you are. ~ ?

Oh gosh, what a tough choice! I think you will be happy either way. Sorry I am no help. We stayed at the Ramada the last time we went to Gatlinburg, not nearly as nice as your houses!

I personally liked this one best: http://www.sunsetcottage.com/bearmountainhideaway.html (but that's just me, if it were warmer, and I were there, lol, I would sleep out in a tent--- it is gorgeous up there in May, to camp out, unless you get thunderstorms)

Thanks everyone I guess I am just being paranoid but it's hard to feel secure in a decision when you are choosing something for other people too.
It is going to be me, hubby and our 2 kids, another couple and their son. I figure the 2 bedrooms will be the adults and the kids we can stick on the sleeper sofa and bunks.
We are getting such a great price on the house I can't complain. These 2 houses are more expensive than the original house we had rented but they are giving us the new house for the same price. It is costing us a total of $530 for all 7 of us for 7 nights. That comes to $38 night per family. Heck we couldn't get a roach motel room with 2 beds for that price a night.

We went in June year before last. Was on our way to Cades Cove when it started storming and a tree fell on a car in front of us.
Thanks for your choice on the house.

It has been 10 years since we went (lived in West TN at the time) We went the first year hubby and I were together. We camped out, and it stormed, We ended up ditching the tent, and staying at a hotel the first night. We had fun on the trails in the park(a must do) and we walked all around Gatlinburg, went to Ripleys, took the lifts up to the top. then on the way home, we went to Sweetwater, and visited the Lost Sea(worlds largest underground lake) and road in glass bottom boats. Was an awesome trip, other than the thunderstorms. hope you have as much fun.

I could sleep outside in the smoky mountains and be happy. I love it there. Its been about 14 yrs since I've been there and my boys are wanting to go. So when hubby gets his vacation time this year, that's where we're going. They both look great. I think the one you picked will work out perfectly. Have a great time!!!
