This blurb on the box made me a little tiny bit disappointed in the movie. It says on the back something about it being the bloodiest gunfight on film as of yet... and w/ the exception of the very first person shot there was nothing bloody about this movie. Other than the HUGE lie in the blurb, it was an excellent movie (you are right, it does drag in the beginning... it's 2 hours and 19 minutes long so there's alot they could have cut or sped up) and I too would like to buy it.

hubby and I rented it Friday night, he LOVED it. I dont care for westerns,no matter who is in it. I tried to watch part of it, but I got bored with it.. so I went to clean out the bedroom..lol

DH and I watched it last night. We have very different tastes in movies but we both liked this one. While I agree that that wasn't a lot of gory blood in the movie there was a gunfight like I have never seen before on film. Kevin Costners character meant business. He was or had been a professional gunfighter in this movie, right? Some of the shots he took and landed were amazing. LOL, I don't even usually like Westerns or shoot 'em ups of any kind.

My hubby rented this the other day and her says it sucks, BUT, I like Kevin Costner and his movies (The Postman and Dances With Wolves are two of my favorites), so I want to check it out. I didn't watch the other night because I had to work .. but I will check it out when my dad buys the DVD and if I like it, I'll get my own.
