    First time Pregnant.....any advice?

Is there a trick you used? Is there something you purchased or used with your newborn that was a lifesaver? I'm looking for advice and to learn any "tricks" out there!

probably all the mothers out there will agree with me: you will use most of all: a stroller; a carseat; (this is a must), a swing, (oh lordy, how you will use this). I would start right now picking up packs of disposable diapers whenever I went to the store, save the coupons for them also. You can never have enough.

One thing that I couldn't live without with my last one (didn't have with my first two) was a vibrating bouncy seat. Those things are lifesavers. It's the only thing that Kali would lay or sit in that I could get anything done.
Some other things you'll need, lotion, body wash or Dove soap, baby wipes, diapers (not too many newborns, unless your baby is really small you won't need them long), onesies (they are alot better than t-shirts), a diaper bag (alot of hospitals give these out as part of either Enfamil/Similac care package)...
And most of all LOTS OF PATIENCE...CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST OF LUCK!!!

    yep I agree

breast feed if ya can, it is so much better for them
Don't use a walker, it is dangerous, and it doesn't help them learn to walk, it actually sets them back, get a gym thing that looks like a walker, but they actually sit in it. (I can't member what they are called, LOL)
Sleepers and onies are awesome. Specailly if ya have your baby in the winter. These are great and it keeps em so warm.

sleep now! because it may not come again. the t-shirts are useless, always get onsies and you really can not have enough, i agree with everything that has been said, definatly no walkers! the other thinsg are called stationaries, and they come in many forms, my son had a big activity one with lots of toys on it, my daughter had a treadmill, cutest thing, and my other daughter had a car with streaing wheel car phone and everything, real cute. you best bet is an infant car seat that is also a carrier, they just click in and out of the car, really nice. and than later like after it's a year old you'll have to get a bigger one. get a few crib sheets because sometimes no matter what kind of diapers you use they will wake up soaking wet! so you'll need extras in case that happens, and lots of recieving blankets because you'll want one all the time and they are always doing soemmthing gross to it, lol. get a big diaper hag and keep it in your car stocked with every thing incuding extra clothes for you! it sucks to be away from home and get peed on pr spit up on. shoes are not important for babies. you'll want lanolin for your breasts if you nurse and a good breast pump, even if you are a stay at home mom, pump some out so dad can feed the baby too because it helps them to bond and gives you a chance to rest. get the book what to expect when your expecting, it's a great book for prego's and you can get it at the library.

    My best thing

was the sleep positioner that keeps the baby on his side all night, they are improved since the ones i bought 3 years ago, walmart has a simpler version, and the one i bought for my last baby had the sounds of the mothers heartbeat.
