Ok DH was playing around with some candles in the bathroom and poured the melted wax in the tolet, He dug most of it out but now the tolet isnt flushing right.


How do we fix this? I have water on the stove now to try and melt it with boiling water, but is there anything else we can do??

OOOOOOOOOH boy.

I seem to remember a thread along these lines some time back, hopefully someone will help you. Or call a plumber and ask for advice (or your home depot-type store) I've been up to my armpit - literally - in the bowels of a toilet (don't ask) It's not something you want to do to get the wax out.

we poured some almost boiling water down it, now dh is running back and forth from the bathroom to kitchen dumping hot hot water down it.

He comes out and goes "somethings moving"


I am staying out of it, he did it he can fix it!

Looks like dh got it, he used hot hot water and had a lot of luck lol

If it seems clear, keep running the boiling water through. You've just moved the wax from the neck of the toilet into the pipes. If the candle wax plugs up the pipes, you could have a much bigger problem ahead of you.
