    Thumbs down gall bladder trouble

I was wondering if any of you have had gall bladder trouble? I keep burping, and hurting in my upper r abodem (sp) and upper R back. I went to the dr today and he did blood work and I've got to go next week to have an ultra sound. It is really taking a toll on me. It is like there from when I wake up to when I go to bed. Any ideas? Thanks Angie clean4you@peoplepc.com

I don't know anything about the gall bladder. I have never had any problems myself, but my fil had to have his taken out. It was tough on him while he was sick, but he felt great after he got rid of it.

I wish you much luck and (((HUGS))) to you. Sure do hope you feel better soon.

Gall bladder pain should go away after a few hours...you shouldn't wake up w/it unless you are eating the same "trigger" food constantly.

A gall bladder attack most often will feel like you have an ever tightening band around midsection. It also mimics a heart attack. Burbing can be a signal, but you will usually start to fill up w/gas. Everywhere!! My ex used to have to beat on my back to get the gas out of my shoulder blades before I had my gall bladder removed.

I had mine removed when I was 17(1980). DS was 3 motnhs old and the Dr said the gallstones were probably caused by having a child so young and then going on birth control pills.

Mine hurt pretty much all the time, I remember it felt like someone was stacking bricks on my chest.I went sleep one night and dreamed someone was trying to zip me up in a body bag and I couldn't breathe. Woke up and really was having trouble breathing. Between tests and surgery I spent a total of 13 days in the hospital. I have a nasty scar to remember mine.

My bestfriend had hers out a couple of years ago and was home the next day, they did a series of small cuts to do hers, I don't think she even has visible scars.

I had mine taken out a year ago yesterday. i had the pain but not the burping and such. whatever I eat made me nausous. I was glad to get it out and even though the test didn't show ny real serious problem we found out laer (fter they took it out) that I was on the verge of emergenccy surgery. Thank God we got to it in time. One Dr. said I was lucky tht it didn't burst on me. But now i feel great. I can eat anything I want and it doesn't bother me anyomore.

I had my gallbladder removed when I was 16. It was pretty bad.I only had pain a few times but it was in such a condition I could never go to school. I have acid reflux now and the pain and heartburn abd gassy feeling is worser than when I had gallbladder trouble.

I was sick if I ate and sick if I didn't eat. I hurt really bad in my right side right below the ribcage because my gallbladder was swollen and pressing against my liver. The doctor said that I had multiple gallstones. I had my gallbadder removed by Laparoscopy surgery 9 1/2 years ago. The doctor went through my belly button plus three other tiny incisions in my abdomen. As far as scaring you have to look really close in order to see the scars.

Mine would hurt me for DAYS. I swear having that surgery was the BEST thing I ever did. And I had the BIG surgery 15 yrs ago when I was 20. I havent had much trouble since it was removed, just frequent diarrehea after eating certain things, which has decreased over time. I am currently 7 months pregnant and even now, I have NEVER had heartburn in the last 15 yrs except 3 times(after eating WAYYY too much on Thanksgiving and Christmas).

If it is your gallbladder, PLEASE have it removed. You will feel SOO much better, you wont believe it.

I had my gallbladder removed back in 1989 (I was 20). It had gallstones in it. It took several trips to the doc to figure out that it was my gallbladder, was being treated for "female troubles"?!?! Go figure!!! Regardless it is now gone and I like "asickchick" still have troubles. I had the lazer surgery done and though there are no scars, I still have troubles with foods. I think it just depends on the person. I have known people to praise the surgery and then I know some like me that wishes I would have just taken the pills or have a lazer bust up the stones. Hope you get relief soon tho, you are in my prayers, Mary
