    Arrow cool "mortuary novelty" website

Hopefully this won't bug anyone but I figure with halloween coming up this is a reallly cool site (plus I collect skulls) but it's kinda expensive.

Neat site but I did send them this letter. GEESH Some people don't do their homework first. And no this doesn't belong in the RC since it was posted here. But the other things are neat and I would recommend the site if they learn not to be so insensitive to other cultures.

The Guadalupe de los Muertos T-shirt is very insensitive to Catholics and Hispanics. In case you don't know that is suppose to be a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary and revered by Hispanics as well as Catholics. It sacriligious to us. Kinda like having Jesus on the Cross as a skeleton. Please rethink this item.

I tend to think Janelle is Hispanic
I lived in Oaxaca for a while and my daughter is half mexican (that doesn't have much to do with anything I guess.) And I don't think this shirt would be a big offense to many people.
JMHO anyway let's not get me moved to the religious threads LOL

My family tree is German, Irish and who knows what but pretty much as Anglo as one can get. I'll need to ask Hispanics about that T-shirt. Just doesn't look like something they would like but I don't know their culture that well either.

I never received an answer to my email so maybe they have had no other complaint. It's just seems equivilant to seeing a skeleton on the cross for Jesus.

Sorry Janelle - I assumed you meant US Hispanics. At any rate my co-worker is Mexican and he was pretty offended by it so I guess you're right. And he's not even that Catholic.
My boyfriend is Mexican but doesn't believe in God (no flamers please) so he just laughed when he saw it.

It may be good if more Hispanics complain about it. They can sell it in Mexico but not here if it offends Hispanics. Your boyfriend wouldn't be bothered by it if he doesn't believe. Personally I think it's an ugly T-shirt. Not scarey just ugly.

They would NOT sell it in Mexico!
Ah well to each their own. I think it's kinda cool but I wouldn't buy it either.
