I never knew how painful rock concerts were until last night
Went to see Meatloaf last night and had to cover my ears. Just like sitting on the runway of a military bass and those guys have earmuffs on. LOL Why do they have to play the music at full volumn? Couldn't understand what he was singing.
I never went to rock concerts but my hubby did when he was younger. They hurt. GEESH. But then I have to cover my ears at the beginning of movies when the sound guys show you how good their sound is by playing it at full volumn. YIKES. Ok, that's good sound, just keep it down, OK?
I need to get some CDs of Meat so my hubby can acually hear the words. Anyway, i went to bed early last night to recover. My feet and body were a mess as well from walking all over the fair. I missed all the bro-ha-ha on here last night which was the good thing. LOL

I saw Meatloaf a few years ago,,,it was a GREAT show!!! The audience sang along to every song!! I would see him again in a heartbeat!! Sorry you didn't enjoy it!

I enjoyed it pretty much except for the loudness and the people walking in front of me to go back and forth to the refreshment stand and the people in front of me getting in the way talking to each other.
It was fun watching the people singing along and the older guy doing everything meatloaf did singing along with him. He puts on a good show and nust be exhausted at the end. Just wish it was toned down somewhat so I could hear the words.
My hubby asked what did he say and thinking I could yell them at him. No thank you.

were you like right by a speaker or something? my friend's band use to practice in this tiny room and it was way too loud, i listened from outside.
last concert i went to was glam slam metal jam with poison quiet riot and all the 80's acts. that was just a couple years ago, it was not too loud at all, but it was outside. i took my kids with me, my duaghter was just a baby, she loved it she was going nuts, my son slept through the whole thing. my duaghter got to meet quiet riot and they were all loving on her and telling her how cute she was, and they thought it was so neat that they had this young fan. we got all thier autographs.
i like meat loaf alot, i have a cd of like the best of, and i love the rocky horror picture show

No, I was way in the middle stands half way back. It was at the fair and maybe it reverberated in the grandstand shell we were in and of course the people yelling back of me didn't help. Just loud.
Now the jackhammer people were here to treat my house for termites. The guy using the jackhammer didn't have any ear protectors on. They usually get deaf if they work at that business for a long time. Mucisians as well.
