you just have to look at the items and kinda remember what you would pay somewhere else.... I find that a lot of items, if you compare shop at the dollar store are more expensive than somewhere else... But its also just in opinion

Some things at sams are a whole lot more expensive than buying the same amount at walmart. just depoends on what you buy....

I buy most of my health/beauty aids, cleaning stuff, paper products & some food there UNLESS I'm going to Walmart, the prices are a little better for most of the stuff there.

My favorite buy for the dollar store is when I can find a cleaning product called Mean Green. It works GREAT for all purpose cleaning, especially if you're cleaning grease off from surfaces. Rug and Room deodorizers are a pretty good buy, too. (Like Carpet Fresh) It's really trial and error, but often the off brands work just as well as the name brands, and they're much cheaper.
Also, keep in mind that the holidays aren't too far into the future. I have 5 children who always want to get individual gifts for family members. They actually enjoy shopping at the dollar store for the gifts. They find nice little knick knacks and the like for the whole family without breaking the bank.
If the mailman knew that my heart races when the UPS man comes by, would he still bring me freebies?

since I can't stand wally world and will only shop there if being forced to at gunpoint, I get all health/beauty, cleaning and some paper preoducts at dollar tree, I also get some food items, pet food and cat litter some paper products and laundry soap at Family Dollar or Dollar General, you just have to kind of look around and remember what you pay other places and remember the Family Dollar and Dollar Generals do accept manufactuers coupons

I agree with these guys. Depends on what you buy. I got a 4 pack of Panasonic batteries at the dollar store that lasted forever! 1.00/4 batteries. We have gotten glasses, etc. from the dollar store. I think my husband and I need to shop there more.

The Dollar Tree is my FAVORITE store. I get lots of stuff there. Toothpaste, shampoo, cleaning supplies, some food items, pain reliever, lotions, body sprays, candles, picture frames, wrapping paper, etc...

The best Dollar Tree I was ever in is in Hot Springs Arkansas. That store is HUGE! I have never seen one that big and I go into everyone I see when ever I travel! LOL! I know, I am a Dollar Tree addict! LOL!

I go there for anything that I need plastic-buckets, waste baskets, big trash can for the kitchen, laundry baskets, plastic shoe boxes..I won't get them anywhere else.
School supplies, and basically anything, I have found that you do have to be careful with their food, make sure to look at the expiry date.

you need to go to the one in Burlington, NC - it is advertised as the largest Dollar Tree in the world, and I believe it, it is HUGE HUGE, you could literally spend a whole day in there
