Anyone own thier home?

We are buying a new home, we were going to have it built, however a TON of stuff has happend with us and the builder 'C.P. Morgan' like how they have not had good communication amongst themselves, 'accidentally' sold our lot right out from under us and there are no more lots in the community that we wanted, plus the showed us our dream home, did all the paper work just to find out that we could not get enough money for it and so we opted for a much smaller home (but hey it least it would be ours, right).

Well, we were still going to try to work with them (C.P. Morgan) in another community but it would be more $$$ to build there. Then we got a realtor and they found us the exact same Dream home that we wanted to build in the same community that are lot got sold. The home is already built and it is under 1 year old and the sellers are going into forecloser if they do not sell. The bank is doing a 'Short Sell' and selling it for $20,000 less than it is worth (Now we can afford it!!) Plus it is HUGE and LOADED and in a great neighborhood! With a garden tub and firplace and tons of other things.

The Problem 1: Our mortgage company said we cannot close until December (we have a few bills to pay off and we had a late payment with a credit card)...But... the seller needs to sell NOW! Our realtor ask can we lease it first (new and scary to me) until we can close in December, she says they normally we not do it, but they are going to do it for us .

Problem 2: Our lease in our apartments is not up until Oct. and we need to get out without paying. Some of the thing that has happened:
There are four apartments in our part of the building. We have been here for a lil over 1 year and there has been three families that has fought all the time. The people up diaganol from us has had a shooting. Sometimes the place smells like weed. The woman above us has 4 kids and men come and go . 2 weeks ago there was a fire in the apartment that is accross the hall from us (we share a wall) and no one came to get us and tell us, it was a HUGE fire. They evacuted everyone in my building and even evacuated the people in the next building over, but not me and my 2 month old and 3 year old and we are the ones that share a wall . I smelled smoke and ran out my patio with my kids and saw that the maintnence and apartment mangr. had been out there for about 20 mins This place still burns my eyes from smoke smell.

I need help: I need thoughts on leasing a home for a few months before being able to get the money and close. And,, how to get out of a lease.
Thanks!!

I'm not sure but i would think you could use the fire as an excuse.Your best bet is to talk to an attorny in your area, they'll be able to give you more ideas on how to get out of your lease.I know here if you start a new job and have to move then you can break a lease. Then sometimes they will let you pay a certain amount of money, think it depends how much time is on your lease, and you won't be breaking your lease and it won't affect your credit.

no ideas just wnated to say good luck!! and i think using the fire as an excuse is a good start. maybe they will let you out and give you your deposit back if you would just not say anything about hte fire. i would def. call a lawyer and ask!!
