    Usually the college bulliten boards are full of students who want to off their used text books for quick cash. Try that! eBay??

    I usually check with the nursing students (after a while, you get to know the group since you're with them so much, lol) to see what classes they've had already, then give them a little more than the book buy back people will. Sometimes we just trade back and forth or borrow.

    I don't know if you're going to a big university or not, but the students from the big one close to my comuunity college get some of their books at our bookstore b/c they're a little cheaper.

    I always went to the used textbook bookstores - our college town had two of them.

    I have purchased used text books at the barnes and nobles website. They were in excellent condition (not a mark in them) and really very resonable.

    Just be careful when you buy used textbooks and make sure the instructor is still using that particular version.
